Combine Databases - Advanced Feature

There are a lot of good reasons why you might want to have multiple databases but sometimes you may want to temporarily combine two or more databases.

To get started display the first database either by pressing display data for the entire database or doing a quick search or advanced search to select the portion of the database that you want.  Make note of how many records are selected and click on 'set' in the area on the right top labeled 'Operations on Current List'.

Next return to the main database page and select your next database.

Display the second database. Make note of how many records are displayed and then press 'add' from 'Operations on Current List'.

The combined list will be displayed. You will notice that the numbers will be the total of the first database selected and the second database.

You can now use 'email to this list' to send a mailing to your combined databases. As always when you are doing a mailing, make sure to send a test mailing to yourself and confirm that you are mailing to the expected number of records.

You can repeat the 'add' under 'Operations on Current List' with as many different database as desired. You can also use advanced search on a single database to select different portions of the same database such as when doing multiple zip code selections from a single database.
